Psalm 139:23,24 Search me, God and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me and lead me in the way everlasting.
Proverbs 4:23 Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.
Proverbs 21:2,3 A person may think their own ways are right, but the Lord weighs the heart. To do what is right and just is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.
Isaiah 1:11-17 (I don’t want sacrifices, I want your heart)
Jeremiah 17:9,10 The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? “I the Lord search the heart and examine the mind, to reward each person according to their conduct, according to what their deeds deserve.”
Jeremiah 29:13 you will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
Hosea 6:6 For I desire steadfast love and not sacrifice, the knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings.
Matthew 15:18-20 But the things that come out of a person’s mouth come from the heart, and these defile them. For out of the heart come evil thoughts—murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft false testimony, slander. These are what defile a person…
Mark 7:6 He replied, “Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you hypocrites; as it is written; ‘These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.
Luke 12:34 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Luke 16:15 He said to them, “you are the ones who justify yourselves in the eyes of others, but God knows your hearts. What people value highly is detestable in God’s sight.
People tend to be selfish and self-centered, wanting their desires filled immediately. It starts as infants when we are crying, impatient for nourishment or removal of soiled diapers. I didn’t initially classify infants as selfish; all their needs must be met by a human for food to be brought and given, for dirty diapers to be changed, to be cleansed and comforted. Initially, I did not feel babies were selfish, only helpless. But as children age, it is easier to spot more of the selfish tendencies. Toddler impatience, screeching, fighting over toys, and tantrums to express their displeasure with whatever they are being told to do, or come and get ready for, and/or directed to doing something they choose not to do.
It is part of the developmental age for children to be learning to express and gain some independence as toddlers. In our country, children are allowed more fully to express their displeasures—it is tolerated, and many parents do not interfere. But in other countries, although all children have this selfish need to express themselves, this wild, loud, and very selfish expression is NOT allowed to continue as it is in this country. A child misbehaving is quietly and firmly separated away, and the adult explains this is not acceptable and the behavior must cease. I am not sure if a spanking is promised later, but it is the interruption, without causing any further upset within a crowd, and the behavior, or at least the screeching and tantrum like behavior stops. Pouting may continue, but the visible and loud misbehavior is contained.
As we age, our selfish ways develop. We are the most important persons in our own lives. We are entitled to have what we want. At times, we may have to wait for a while to obtain something—for instance, parents deeming no extra sports allowed unless grades are maintained, not dating until a certain age, or parents saying one needs to save some money to purchase an item later—whether it be too expensive for a parent to grant, or part of a need to teach the child a lessons, and recognize value in some of the things they want. There may be conditional things one has to do to ensure one gets what they desire. But the selfish desires are part of human condition at birth.
Selfishness sticks with us throughout life. We may be able to control it in many areas of life with the help of the Holy Spirit, but that initial tendency is there. Possibly, we don’t buy a new outfit although ‘love the color, love that neckline…’ but then follow the gentle reminder from the Holy Spirit not to purchase. Maybe you will never wear an outfit that lovely and fancy—nowhere you go that requires, maybe you can’t afford it, maybe it is not as important to have that than to mind your monthly budget. The desire may still remain, but with the Holy Spirit’s urging, you have turned from it. That is an example of overcoming a selfish urge.
However, sneaky Satan is waiting for the next time and then the next to entice you, to urge you to get it, and to remind you that you ‘DESERVE this.’ (Just a reminder that he LIES—every word he utters, and he also lies in wait to nudge you to fall into his plans for your selfish fall).
It is a great idea for US to be aware of how our hearts are behaving also. We should have a plan to protect our hearts desires and to keep them in check, we should keep in mind monthly budget, and certainly the ‘need vs want,’ and how the fulfilling of a selfish desire now may affect our immediate, then distant future. Payments over time? What’s the interest on that very pretty, new shiny car? Was your old car running fine, maintenance current, but this was just soooooo pretty? And don’t you think I look good behind the wheel?
I need the Holy Spirit reminding me of budgets, reminding me of the clothes destined to be cleaned out of bureaus and closets. I have gadgets that I don’t use….but I might…someday.
And of course, it is not just purchases we make to be selfish. Maybe food is your weakness, and you go back frequently and overindulge there, maybe you are a workaholic and time spent separate from your family is your weakness. Whatever, the list is endless, and only you and your heart 9and maybe your family) and certainly God, know what is in your heart. I have only listed a few of the many verses God has spoken regarding our selfish hearts and allowing them to allow us to sin, “to encourage us to sin” when we listen to Satan and grab onto the words he lies into our ears, about deserving…..
Since I am a work in progress and still have far to go, I have to remind myself to listen to the Holy Spirit and not to the devil….but it’s sometimes the devil’s words I like since they are encouraging me to get what I want….but, I have been purposely seeking His guidance and tempering my selfish desires—sometimes walking away, reminding myself of budget, unable to justify where or when I would TRULY wear an outfit…and to just have it hand in a closet, then be donated….DUMB, Disobedient, and Demon-lead. …. Big sigh out, but YES! I walked away!
Thank You for leading me away when my selfish desires are urging my heart to be a selfish brat. You have given me the Holy Spirit to always help me and ‘mybellaviews.’
Jeremiah 17:9, 10 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it? I the Lord search the heart and test the mind, to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his deeds.
1 Chronicles 28:9 And you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father and serve him with a whole heart and with a willing mind, for the LORD searches all hearts and understands every plan and thought. If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will cast you off forever.
Psalm 139:23-24 Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
Proverbs 4:23 Keep your heart with all vigilance for from it flows the springs of life.
Proverbs 21:2-4 People may be right in their own eyes, but the Lord examines the heart. The Lord is more pleased when we do what is right and just than when we offer him sacrifices. Haughty eyes, a proud heart, ad evil actions are all sin.
Proverbs 23:15,16, 19 My child, if your heart is wise, my own heart will rejoice! Everything in me will celebrate when you speak what is right. . . My child, listen and be wise: Keep your heart on the right course.
Hosea 6:6 For I desire steadfast love and not sacrifice, the knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings.
Matthew 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
God told the Israelites what He found sinful and unclean, and what He wanted them to sacrifice for each of the sinful areas. But atonement always involved some animal sacrifice and frequently some grain and oil additions to the animal sacrifice. But the animal sacrifices always meant death of an animal, albeit a bird, a lamb, goat, or ox.
This always bothered me–for many reasons. He created me to love animals, so using those poor little innocent baby animals was an atrocity to me. These poor critters had done nothing, and yet were being used to cover the sins of the people. Then I was aware of the stench and the fear that would be present for the animals because of the stench of blood, removal of organs, burning of the offal. I am also a nurse, so am aware how blood and death can at times stink, so I could only imagine how terrified these poor critters were. It burned a horrific picture in my brain.
Finally, it was pointed out to me that all these animal sacrifices were to impress on the sinners that because of what THEY had done, the sin THEY had committed, all these innocent animals were being slaughtered. And yes, much of it was given for food for priests and so forth, and yet God increased the animals and the people over the forty years they traveled in the desert. I was also surprised at that–they were frequently killing MANY, yet it seemed the herds never decreased. Although it still bothered me about so many animals killed as different offerings for the people, it was done to impress them, the sinner, that it was BECAUSE of them this innocent critter was killed. OH! Suddenly, all sorts of connections were made for me.
God was trying to teach them if they obeyed, there would not be a reason to slaughter. His plan–always–since we are sinners, was to have His only Son come to earth and then give up, sacrifice, His life for our sins. Jesus is/was the perfect Lamb and it was His sacrificial slaughter which was an atonement for OUR sins, and forgiveness and eternal life with Him is ours if we truly confess and repent of our sins, choose Him as our Savior and abide with Him. It is not necessarily giving up anything, or changing anything, except our hearts. God only wants us to give Him our hearts–that is the sacrifice He demands. A repentant, selfish heart turned over to Him in exchange for forgiveness and freedom forever. Our hearts are our life, and they command our desires–and because of selfishness and sinfulness, if not kept right, they pull away from God, and turn more and more to sin.
So, I have learned that many take a portion of something they “know” and then decide they do not want to “follow a God who can do that to all those innocent animals, people, etc.” Many choose that option and then will pay the eternal price for their choice. The sad part of that to me, is they have made a choice that affects their eternity out of a scant bit of information they do not fully understand or choose to learn about, cocky and confident enough in “their goodness” and yet that is not what will save them–their hell will be just as miserable as the worst of the sinners.
There is only one way to be saved, and that is in believing in Jesus Christ as the Son of God, came down fully human, healing many, raising from the dead, eliminating demons, feeding thousands and then chose to willingly be our sacrifice to free us from sin and hell as long as we believe in Him and make Him our Savior. With all He and the God trinity gave us from creation to all we see and experience, how can anyone choose not to believe. I am abundantly blessed to know more than He being my Savior–I know Him as my friend, I have a relationship with Him, and every confidence that He loves me, wants the best for me, and will be spending time with me in heaven for eternity.
Thank You for Your sacrifice for me and ‘mybellaviews.’
Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.
1 Corinthians 2:10-13 …these are the things God has revealed to us, by his spirit, the spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but he Spirit who is from God, so that we may have understand what God has freely given us.
John 14:26 But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.
John 16 :7-9, 13-14 But very truly I tell you, it is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Advocate will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you. When he comes, he will prove the world to be in the wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment; about sin, because people do not believe in me; about righteousness, because I am going to the Father, where you can see me no longer; and about judgment, because the prince of the world now stands condemned . . . . But when he, the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on this own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you.
Ephesians 1:17-18 I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at the right hand in the heavenly realms.
2 Timothy 1:7 for the Spirit God gave us power, love and self-discipline.
The Holy Spirit gave us great power if we believe in Jesus Christ, and what God has done so that we can be saved. One of the jobs of the Holy Spirit is sanctification, which is the process of stripping away our sinful habits by opening our eyes to recognize our sin, selfishness, etc. He then replaces our sinfulness with godly ways, including empowering us to witness. He admonishes us for sinfulness and empowers us to resist temptations. That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at the right hand in the heavenly realm.
For years I have read the bible. I have read the bible in a variety of the forms to read in a year. My least favorite is to do a chapter in the Old Testament, a few verses in Psalms, and in Proverbs, and then some in the New Testament. I have done chronological reading, and I like that, reading just Samuel or Kings at the same time, then we are repeating it in Chronicles. Regardless, there has been a wealth of information to me in the Books; and now that I have determined that much of what is in Kings is also in Chronicles; chronologies and genealogies are repeated. Finally, instead of feeling confused and cranky with repeated difficult names, I finally had my eyes opened (thank you, Holy Spirit)! These repeated names were just the same stories being told by different people inspired by God.
One of the duties of the Holy Spirit is to open our eyes to better understanding of the bible. At first, we start off ‘with the milk of babes’ (Hebrews 5:13-14).
Thankfully, God has assigned the Holy Spirit to open our eyes to His Words. The bible is ALL God inspired, and he sent His Son to live as a fully human and fully God man to have all the experiences of any human. Then after teaching, inspiring, healing, sending demons from people, He willingly died a horrific death to free us from sins and to offer eternal life with Him— if we believe in Him and offer repentance for our many sins. But God offered us a teacher to explain some things we may find difficult to understand within the bible’s bindings.
God has supplied it all for us. He spoke to the prophets, led many men and women to judge and teach the Israelites how to live for Him. He wants to be honored and respected and revered. He created EVERYTHING we see and experience in nature—whether we acknowledge and appreciate it daily or not—He shows us peeks of his grand miracles daily. He has blessed me with a painted bunting bird couple which come to my feeder twice daily—although that colorful male is a bit of a piglet and tends to be there several times daily. But what a blessing to see them! And I also enjoy sites of the Sound out my kitchen window and the ocean on the front side of the house. I’m always willing to share some of the blessings I have with my home.

My understanding of the bible started as a young adult, just before I turned 19. I was finally attending a teaching church. I was like a sponge, and I wanted more understanding. Unfortunately, life changed my circumstances, and I no longer attended a bible teaching church and although I read fairly regularly, I was baffled by much that was in the bible. I listed many of my questions and put them in my ‘God bag’ and continued reading, but also found some good bible teaching preachers on tv—Charles Stanley, Andy Stanley, Joyce Meyer. I gained some knowledge listening to Joyce Meyer who explained that the 40 years in the wilderness was because they continued to complain about their circumstances. Epiphany! I can complain and whine and be STUCK! And then that is continuing my poor circumstances. Eye opening! Oh, is that what part of the OT is saying? I had a clue, an opening…there were connections. . . . I had hope I could get some understanding! That was so exciting. So simple, and oh, there was so much more to the OT, but I had an opening.
And then the Holy Spirit went to work and started leading me to thicker formula in my baby bottle, now on to pablum, and then to cereal and then on to chopped meat and potatoes. My understanding was expanding. A prayer was being processed, and I was growing in the Word, my knowledge, and understanding were expanding. This is the work of the Holy Spirit. He was now leading and guiding me so I could actually see! Hooray!
Oh, my goodness! What a relief! I had believed I was stupid for not understanding what I read frequently. It was so much; and how was this important to me and my life now?
But the Holy Spirit guides steadily and easily. . . goes at the pace each of us needs. We need to advance in our knowledge of God and what He wants for us. Yes, He wants us to adore and love and honor Him, but He wants us to become more like His Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ. Since the Holy Spirit works at my pace of learning and understanding, sometimes I feel my growth has been so SLOW. But I have absorbed things. I know verses—not particularly where each comes form, but I can quote them, and know the context they were in. Some I remember because they might be vital for others, but most, I can recognize the words and thoughts, but not the chapter.
I will live a long, long life since we are not perfected until death; and I am a mess. A mess I can trace a lot of progress, but still, it looks like a mess. But, no matter when He calls, I am ready to meet my Maker. I hope I can carry my list of questions! Haha, I will probably fall facedown and just revere Him. Heaven, really, truly, I am here! Praises and praises!
Lord, there is a reason for the trinity. The three of You created the world and all we have and see, and it has been set that this part of the Holy Trinity will lead and guide and teach us the Way. Jesus promised the Advocate would come and guide and direct us and teach us, and YES, He does!
Thank You, God for your trinity; each vital for us to know and love and revere. Thank You for all You have done for ‘me and ‘mybellaviews.’
Deuteronomy 30:19 -20 This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to his voice, and hold fast to him. For the Lord is your life, and he will give you many years in the land he swore to give to your fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
Joshua 24:15 But if serving the Lord seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.
Isaiah 30:18 (NLT) So the Lord must wait for you to come to him so he can show you his love and compassion. For the Lord is a faithful God. Blessed are those who wait for his help.
Ezekiel 18:30-32 “Therefore, you Israelites, I will judge each of you according to your own ways, declares the Sovereign Lord. Repent! Turn away from all your offenses; then sin will not be your downfall. Rid yourselves of all the offenses you have committed and get a new heart and a new spirit. Why will you die, people of Israel? For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Sovereign Lord. Repent and live!
John 7:17 Anyone who chooses to do the will of God will find out whether my teaching comes from God or whether I speak on my own. Whoever speaks on their own does so to gain personal glory, but he who seeks the glory of the one who sent him is a man of truth; there is nothing false about him.
2 Peter 3:9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead, he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
Galatians 5:13, 16-17 You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather serve one another humbly in love. . . . So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want.
“Instead of using ‘I’m human’ as an excuse to walk in the flesh, try using ‘I’m saved’ as a reason to walk in the Spirit.” Martin Lamb
Choices, we all get to make them.
Wahoo! God gave us freewill. Yes, we can do whatever we want—well on the surface at least within the guidelines of the ten commandments. So there is discouragement in regard to dishonoring parents, stealing, committing murder and adultery, and frowned on to covet your neighbor’s belongings or the spouse, and one should rest on the Sabbath or church day celebrated.
But wait! Oh, you’ve chosen, with your free will to not attend church. Is there anything about any of the days that are different to you? Special in any way? Do you take the time to acknowledge God? In any way? Maybe, the beautiful sunrise or sunset, or just the fact that it’s a pleasant day, traffic is flowing smoothly, you have enough to eat, your eyesight is fairly good, and your hearing also works. Well, do you give Him thanks that you are healthy, He has deemed you have another day to enjoy your surroundings, your family?
I see you’ve chosen ‘no.’ Hmm, and as we are speaking, I notice you keep looking at the riding lawnmower your neighbor is using. He does have a big yard, I bet that helps with the chore of mowing. You’re kind of scowling. Oh, I see, you’re wishing that was your mower, that you could be riding that over your lawn. Yes, yes, I understand. That is coveting a material belonging of your neighbor’s. That’s sinful.
I know your father was ill a couple weeks ago. Have you seen him? No, you talked with him on the phone, and he said he was feeling better. Does he need anything? Groceries? Meds picked up? Is he able to now drive? I know he had surgery and was supposed to be restricted for a few weeks. Oh. Oh. You really haven’t been to check on him? Yes, I understand you work, I do. But he lives on the other side of town, maybe fifteen minutes from here . . . I’m sorry. It’s not my business, really, but some of your choices are bound to your eternity.
Oh, really, you think it’s a bunch of made up stuff? Oh, my. . . well, I know in my heart and mind that it is not. Are you up for a challenge? I have some pamphlets that will help as you delve into the bible that will clarify your doubts. There are prophecies by many different prophets made hundreds of years before Jesus was born. God spoke to these men and told them He was sending a Savior, a Messiah. But it will open your eyes and your heart, I think, to do your own research.
Oh, I quite agree—Jesus was a good man, but more important and vital is He was and is God. He chose to come to earth to live as a human with all the temptations, discouragement, struggles, and hurts that we all live with, to demonstrate and show us how to live and love others, to teach us the scriptures from his and his Father’s hearts, so He could die a sacrificial death so that those who ask forgiveness of their sins, can be forgiven and develop a friendship and relationship with Him, and then at physical death, live in eternity with Him. He is not something one should just shrug off. That truly scares me for you and your eternity.
You have two choices; to believe and ask forgiveness and develop a relationship with Jesus or continue thinking your choice is the correct one. It’s a choice, a heart choice. Either way, when our physical beings die, there is an eternity; heaven or hell. But it’s a heart choice, not a flippant choice.
Oh Lord, this has been a fun and important message You have laid on my heart. I pray it brings You glory. Thank You for all Your blessings for me and ‘my bellaviews.’
Matthew 28:19-20 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.
John 14:26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in myt name he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.
John 16:13 When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.
Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching, and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.
2 Timothy 2:15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth
2 Timothy 3:16-17 All Scripture is God – breathed and useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
James 3:1 Not many of you should become teachers, my brothers, for you know that we who teach will be judged with greater strictness
“It is not the body of truth that enlightens, it is the Spirit of truth who enlightens. If you are willing to obey the Lord Jesus, He will illuminate your spirit. He will enlighten you. The truth you have known intellectually will now be known spiritually.” AJ Tozer.
“To have found God and still to pursue Him is the soul’s paradox of love.” AJ Tozer
“Our greatest fear should not be of failure but of succeeding at things in life that don’t really matter.” Francis Chan
“The irony is that while God does not need us but still wants us, we desperately need God but don’t really want Him most of the time.” Francis Chan
I have always liked reading about others’ journeys and I read a lot of fictionalized books about some of the greats in the bible–James, the brother of Jesus, Lydia, the woman who sold purple cloth, then invited Paul into her home and became a good evangelizer herself, and many many others. Sometimes, reading these brings the actual bible story more to light for me. One of my favorites was to read King Hezekiah. Anyway, off track, except that to read the paths these two men follow(ed) has been enlightening. And their quotes often make me realize, ‘Oh yeah, I’m saving that. I think someone might actually HEAR it if I repeat it as an opener.’
Many of our religious leaders do not mention very much about the Holy Spirit, and yet he is vital to the trinity-they are three persons in one God. They each have their own attributes and duties. Jesus came as a humble Messiah. He taught, healed, saved, rebuked demons, raised persons from the dead, and then suffered, took our filthy vile sins on Himself, was crucified and died, rising again to go to glory with His Father on the third day. But He told his disciples a Helper would be sent. The Helper would give us strength and wisdom when needed, would supply the words when we had to defend God and the bible teaching, would open our eyes to deeper understanding when the time was right, and would show us how to deepen our faith, to rid ourselves of much of our sinful ways, to resist temptation, and show us how to live as examples of God’s blessing and pure radiance. The Holy Spirit gives out gifts and talents–we may have the gift of teaching, preaching, nursing, writing, artistic talents of paint, sculpture, or of music. He teaches and prods us to learn more of the bible, and then to give us a better understanding a passage that has been difficult to understand or follow.
Much should be taught about all God has done from the time of creation until now. The bible is full of predictions of a Savior and Messiah, and then His life during a brief three years with his disciples and others who sought him for good, for healing, for food, for freedom from disease or demon possession. He gave us all so very much including the grace of eternal life with Him IF we choose to believe in Him and confess our sins and allow Him to be our Savior. Less is taught about the Holy Spirit…and he too is busy!
Francis Chan has stated he thinks most preachers concentrate on God the Father and Jesus Christ and omit much about the Holy Spirit. And he remind us the Holy Spirit is available to each of us every day to give us strength and power. The Holy Spirit was certainly intimately involved in the creation of all with God the Father and the Son. (Genesis 1, John 1)
When we are touched by the Holy Spirit to stand and say ‘I believe, I choose Jesus and life and all that means!’ Then we are more aware of the Holy Spirit, and as we get more familiar with the promptings, the urgings, we begin to change our misbehaviors and become more Christ-like.
Allow this member of the trinity guide you, help you to better understand and to take you deeper into all God wants for you. Let the Spirit teach you about resisting temptation, about strengthening you in God and His wonders, and to deepening your relationship with the trinity. Let His light shine in you!! May you be a beacon to others so they will want to know what you have that they don’t; where it came from, how to get it, and where to “buy” it. You can assure them it is a free gift, given by the grace of God if they will only believe in Him, choose him as their Savior, confess and repent of their sins, and seek Him in their lives.
Together, they offer 3 F’s—forgiveness, freedom and forever!
Thank You for the forgiveness You have given me and how You have blessed me and ‘mybellaviews.’
